BaltimoreLink – MTA’s new bus plan

17 Nov

The MTA invites you to come out and learn more about BaltimoreLink, their new multi-phase plan that will create an interconnected transit system and will redesign the entire local and express bus system throughout Baltimore. The plan also includes adding 12 new high-frequency, color-coded bus routes that improve connections to jobs and other transit modes.

Workshops will be conducted open house style, to provide updated information on the BaltimoreLink system and to collect feedback. Presentations will be provided and staff will be available to answer questions. The same information will be presented at each workshop.

The two workshops closest to the 4th District are:

Towson Library 320 York Road
Towson, MD 21204
Route Nos. 3, 8, 11, 12, 48 Tuesday,
December 1st
Northwood Library 4420 Loch Raven Boulevard
Baltimore, MD 21218
Route No. 3, 8, 11, 33, and 103 Wednesday, December 9th

If you are unable to make a workshop, there are other ways to get involved: online discussion via MySidewalk, online comment card and calling the MTA’s comment line.

  2. Provide comments here
  3. Call the BaltimoreLink hotline at 410-454-1998 and leave a message.

If after your questions have been answered, you want to weigh in on what the MTA should do, please contact your state senator and state delegates. Remember – the MTA is a state agency, so the final decisions concerning the bus plan will be made by State government, not City government. Links to General Assembly members are available here – if you’re in the 4th Councilmanic District, then you’re in the 43rd Legislative District.
